On our reef safaris, you will be exploring the aquatic life in the coral reef lagoon of Mahahual in snorkel equipment.
The day starts in Bacalar, where we will meet at 8 by the dive shop.
While we pack the equipment, we will have a coffee before heading off to Mahahual.
Once in Mahahual we will go out by boat, and you will be accompanied by our knowledgable tropical marine biologist as a private guide. He will explain you about the different species of corals, coral reef fish and the coral reef ecosystem.
In between the 2 snorkel trips, we will have plenty of time to enjoy some local lunch and talk about all the wildlife we have seen.
There will be great chances to observe a lot of different marine life. Apart from plenty of coral reef fish species, often marine turtles can be seen feeding in the seagrass bed and usually large sting rays are resting in the sandy patches around the coral boulders.
After we finish snorkelling, you will have the opportunity to take a shower before we return to Bacalar in the afternoon.
Join us for these incredible experiences in Mahahual (minimum 2 persons is required).
